A JCB 527-55 Compact Loadall is increasing productivity for Soilco supplies

JCB Construction Equipment Australia says one of its 527-55 Compact Loadalls has improved productivity at the Soilco landscape and building supplies outlet at Unanderra, NSW.

According to JCB, the investment in a new materials handler for the Unanderra yard had effectively replaced the use of one-and-a-half front-end loaders at the site.

Soilco says the JCB 527-55 has allowed it to load everything from small boxes to big 32t trucks, tasks which previously required two loaders. The 527-55 has clocked-up nearly 500hrs in four to five months.

The landscape and building supplies company says the JCB Loadall is suited for its type of business as it mainly loads 1 to 2t trucks, but it has the flexibility to load bigger trucks. It shifts all variety of shapes and sizes, from bulk to bags and pallets as well as different building supplies.

Soilco says it is able to move materials a lot quicker now. We have a lot of light materials, such as mulches, and with the JCB it has found it easy to push these up without climbing stockpiles.

The JCB 527-55 Compact Loadall is powered by a four-cylinder 85hp engine and can lift a maximum 2.7t capacity to 5.5m high. Soilco has a three-quarter cubic metre general purpose shovel attachment and sideshift forks for the unit.
