BOSCH has released the Rotak 34 LI, a cordless electric lawnmower.
The Rotak 34 LI lawnmower is powered by a lithium-ion battery and is up to 50% lighter than comparable lead-battery or petrol-powered mowers.
According to the manufacturer, the beauty of lithium-ion batteries is its negligible self-discharge. When the battery needs recharging, the quick charger included with the tool requires only one hour to fully re-charge it.
Bosch says the new Rotak 34 LI is the first cordless mower with an energy saving technology. Its ‘Efficient Energy Management’ increases the battery runtime by 10 to 20%, depending on the grass conditions and the way in which the mower is used.
Bosch says the cordless mower is particularly suitable for use in small gardens as it is manoeuvrable around trees, bushes and flower beds. It weighs 12.8kg and has a cutting width of 34cm.
Cordless Mower Rotak 34 LI does not require operators to untangle cables, replace severed cables or strain oneself by pulling a cord to jump-start a petrol mower.
