Green roof roofscaping from DécoR Stone

DÉCOR Stone says it can provide green roof roofscaping, allowing for the reproduction of rooftop vegetation while safeguarding the underlying roof.

According to DécoR, a green roof is a lightweight roofing system referred to as a vegetated or eco-roof. The roof can be partly or entirely covered with vegetation and soil.

Green roof systems are a current landscaping trend moving through the world, specifically for urban and inner-city areas. It is said to provide both an aesthetic appeal while increasing the value and marketability of the building.

DécoR Stone says green roofs reduce the Urban Heat Island Effect, where conventional building materials absorb the suns heat making cities hotter than surrounding suburbs. The benefits are improved building insulation, reduces storm water run off and it filters pollutants and CO2 from the air.
