THE GLOBAL Times has reported suburbia in China is becoming greener with agriculture gardens growing on high rise balconies as well as the suburbs.
The trend is said to originate from stressed workers seeking a calm mind by growing vegetables in any space available, some making space among courtyards and balconies on the concrete high rises.
The move for greener spaces and plots is said to have progressed beyond balconies and corner spaces to larger allotments with plots to fully develop an agriculture garden, with the creation of some in suburbs of many cities such as Beijing and Nanjing.
