THE VICTORIAN Government has announced smaller rainwater tanks are now eligible for a bigger rebate under its Water Smart Gardens and Homes Rebate scheme.
According to the Government, from 1 July households which install small tanks will receive the rebate previously limited to tanks 5,000L and above.
Rainwater tanks of 600L or greater dedicated to outdoor and garden use only are eligible for a $150 rebate.
The Government says there are no restrictions on the use of rainwater in the State which this water can be used for a range of purposes including keeping gardens healthy and for washing cars.
