Alpine Nurseries says the idea of pre-grow contracts have been around a long time

ALPINE Nurseries says pre-grow contracts are becoming a vital part of any medium to large scale development, with multiple benefits.

According to Alpine Nurseries, landscape plans are completed many months and often years ahead of construction, but unfortunately plant supply contracts, in most cases are not awarded until a month or so out from installation.

The company says the lack of notice effectively means substitutions must be made unless a nursery happens to have the right quantity, species and container sizes. As such nurseries and landscapers share equal displeasure in substituting, the solution to this is a pre-grow contract.

Alpine Nurseries says the additional benefits of pre-grow contracts for the client include the best value for money with no externally sourced, the plants are true to type and the quantities required are available with consistent plant size.

Alpine says when no substitutions are made, the plants used through a pre-grow contracts provide the intended initial impact.
