THE ASSOCIATION of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) says more than 200 professional landscape designers gathered for its 2009 International Landscape Design Conference from 13 to 19 July.
According to APLD, the conference featured the latest sustainable and green practices within the industry, inspired by the greener side of our design.
APLD says landscape designers learnt skills varying from ornamental edibles to green roofs and how to create sustainable gardens that thrive all season.
The association says its 2010 conference will be held in Dallas, Texas from 27 September to 1 October. Its purpose is to advance landscape design as an independent profession and to promote the recognition of landscape designers as highly qualified, dedicated professionals.
