Central Queensland receives $850k in funding for recreational infrastructure projects

QUEENSLAND Minister for Local Government, Desley Boyle says Central Queensland has received more than $850k in funding for recreational infrastructure projects in the region.

According to the Minister, the $871,762 in funding will help give Gin Gin's main street a facelift and upgrade the Biloela Civic Centre. This is in addition to installing shade structures at parks throughout Banana Shire Council and Bundaberg Regional Council.

The Minister says the new shade structures for parks and pools in Biloela and Moura will not only make visits more comfortable but it will also help people stay sun safe.

Boyle says tourists and residents will enjoy the extensive upgrades to Gin Gin's main street.
