Four Mile Beach foreshore in Cairns will be upgraded.
Cairns Regional Council is seeking community feed back on the draft of a design scheme to improve safety, pedestrian access and revitalise landscaping at the entrance to the beach between Macrossan and Mowbray Streets.
The project is part of an initial stage of works identified in the Port Douglas Waterfront and Esplanade Masterplan.
The upgrade aims to improve pedestrian access and safety, reduce erosion in Macrossan and Mowbray Sts and improve drainage along the Esplanade.
Landscape works have been designed to enhance the natural existing landscape of the area.
The upgrade will improve pedestrian movement and safety, reduce roadside erosion, improve roadside drainage and increase the number of shady trees.
To view the plan and download a form to provide feed back log on to Council’s website at www.cairns.qld.gov.au.
Feedback closes March 19.
