Registration is now open for the 2010 NGI National Conference.
Taking place in Darwin from April 19 -22, this is a must-attend event for all growers, registrations close April 15.
Activities will include an on-site demonstration to find out how Shoal Bay Mulch recycles 180,000 cubic metres of green waste every year.
Darwin Plant Wholesalers will also be displaying a selection of colourful tropical and sub-tropical plants and attendees can learn how seedling nursery The Plantsmith produces without growth regulants, pesticides and fungicides.

The Conference will also feature concurrent technical and retail streams. These sessions will help equip attendees with know-how and tips that apply to businesses and include:
- the A – Z of plant labeling. A panel of experts chaired by Industry Development Officer (IDO) Robert Chin will discuss marketing, plant intellectual property and good trade practices
- how much water does your nursery use? IDO Michael Danelon will captivate you with a suite of tools of the trade to help you better manage the resource
- learn how to produce in ways that are better for the environment while still being efficient. Lisa Roberts from Provincial Plants & Landscapes will discuss how she minimises her nursery’s environmental footprint
- test for pests and diseases on-farm within a matter of minutes with the Pocket Diagnostic Test kit which will be launched by Industry Development Manager John McDonald
- latest news and improvements in biosecurity – how you can help protect our industry against the threat of new and invasive pests
