FEDERAL Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Maxine McKew says the federally funded $175,000 Maddington Neighbourhood Park upgrade project is almost complete.
According to the Parliamentary Secretary, the park upgrade in the eastern suburbs of Perth included 59 people employed including indigenous trainees and apprentices during the construction phase.
McKew says the Maddington Neighbourhood Park upgrade includes a 400m circular track, a 1.6km walking and jogging path, play equipment, rubber soft-fall flooring, seating, and water-wise landscaping.
The investment in the Maddington Neighbourhood Park is said to be part of $668,000 provided to the City under the Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program.
