NSW Premier Nathan Rees says the largest all native garden in the country, the Mount Annan Botanic Garden will receive a new $4m entrance.
According to the Premier, the project is funded in the 2009 Budget to construct a new entrance and access road for the Garden, seen as a national treasure nestled in the heart of Sydney’s south-west.
The Premier says $4.25m will be spent over the next two years to provide easier access to the 416-hectare garden estate featuring native plants and trees.
This includes the design and construction of a deceleration lane on Narellan Road, a high profile four lane entrance and a road to join the Garden’s internal road, Cunningham Drive.
