Victorians eligible for rebates for water saving goods

FROM 11 March 2009, Victorians can claim a special $30 rebate on the purchase of $50 worth of eligible water saving goods.

Residents can claim rebates on garden products, rainwater tanks and systems for reusing household waste water.

The government says Victorians have responded overwhelmingly to water-saving initiatives.

More than 193,000 rebates have been approved and more than 1.6 billion litres of drinking water a year have been saved since 2003.
