Greening Australia will be launching its new weed identification booklet Weeds of Central Australia: a field guide December 11 at the Olive Pink Botanic Garden, Alice Springs.

The book contains full colour images, detailed descriptions for identification, impact ratings for each species and useful weed management and control information for 90 weeds.

Author Sunil Dhanji has several years experience working in collaboration with community groups and co-ordinating best practice weed control activities within the Alice Springs municipality and across Central Australia.

"The book will be particularly useful for land managers to learn to identify and control some of the more common or invasive weeds occurring throughout the arid zone of Central Australia," Dhanji says.
