TESSELAAR Plants says its Burgundy Spire can grow quickly while staying fully dressed to the bottom, meaning the bottom leaves if well grown stay on the plant.

According to Tesselaar, Burgundy Spire is a Cordyline species which are indigenous to Australia, New Zealand and the western Pacific region.

Tesselaar says the plants should be spaced 1.8m apart and feature a mature height of 2.7m and width of 91cm. The plant has glossy deep burgundy leaves and produces flower panicles 5cm long.

The Burgundy Spire is a palm-like evergreen shrub which can achieve best foliage colour in either full sun or partial shade.
